Job Overview
Join our dynamic UV CIPP Lining Crew as a vital team member dedicated to transforming underground infrastructure! In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in installing high-quality cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) linings using ultraviolet (UV) light technology, ensuring efficient and durable sewer and utility rehabilitation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with specialized industry equipment, advanced tools, and innovative techniques that make a real impact on community infrastructure. This role requires consistent out-of-town travel — most projects take us away from home for the work week. We typically run 4-day work weeks, and you’ll receive per diem when traveling. No prior CIPP experience is required — we train from the ground up. What we need is someone who shows up, works hard, stays safe, and takes ownership of their role.
Duties
- Operate specialty industry equipment such as sewer jet cleaners, CCTV Inspection, UV curing to prepare sites and facilitate lining installation.
- Set up and manage UV curing systems to ensure proper curing of CIPP linings with attention to safety protocols for high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, trimming, and preparing pipes and liners for installation.
- Conduct rigging operations safely when lifting or positioning heavy material crates or equipment.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment operation, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety procedures including confined space entry, fall protection, and working at heights; ensure compliance with all safety standards related to construction site activities.
- Assist with fiber splicing and electrical connections necessary for UV curing equipment.
- Support the crew in cabling, electrical setup, and testing of UV light systems for optimal performance during lining processes.
Requirements
- Prior construction site experience a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of rigging, electrical systems (high voltage/low voltage), fiber splicing, wel.
- Physical capability to climb ladders or scaffolding safely; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Experience operating specialized equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong safety awareness with understanding of construction safety protocols including electrical safety and proper PPE usage.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills such as UV curing technology and mechanical troubleshooting.
