Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a restaurant or food service setting. Your expertise in food handling, preparation, and safety will ensure that our customers receive delicious and high-quality meals.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and customer preferences
– Ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner
– Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
– Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
– Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in the food industry as a Cook or similar role
– Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and recipes
– Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
-Food handlers certificate or license is required
