Who We Are
T&T Home Improvement is one of Cedar Rapids’ fastest-growing contractors. We specialize in building high-quality residential decks, screen rooms, and sunrooms.
Job Overview:
- You will be leading a team building 4-seasons room additions and screen rooms. This is all residential work, not commercial.
- Most of our work is in Cedar Rapids, North Liberty, and Tiffin. Maximum travel time from Cedar Rapids is 45-minutes.
- You will work exclusively with highly skilled builders. We don’t hire ‘entry-level’—we only hire pros.
Guaranteed Pay + Performance Upside
The Pay Structure where you can make $50/hour+:
- Guaranteed Base: You are guaranteed $40 per hour for all hours worked.
- Performance Bonuses: We pay based bonuses based on speed. If we bid a project for 7 days and your team finishes in 5 days, you still get paid for the full 7 days.
- The Result: Last month, all of our team members earned $5-$10/hour in average performance pay. The jobs you will be working on (screen rooms and 4-seasons room additions) have the highest performance payouts.
- Work schedule: 40 hour work week. Overtime is not required. Team members are allowed to work Saturdays if they want to.
Expected tasks and expertise:
- You will be working on-site to build screen rooms and 4-season rooms and managing a team of 2 other people.
- You will be framing up the projects including the roof. Plus installing all doors, windows, deck boards, trim, and building the stairs.
- Subcontractors will be doing a lot of the work and your job is to manage them. This includes scheduling them and verifying the quality of their work. Subcontracted trades include: roofing, siding, soffit, drywall, flooring, gutters, electrical and HVAC.
- You will be expected to measure and order the “complicated materials”; namely windows, doors, and roof trusses. Other materials (like 2x12s) will be ordered for you.
Extensive Experience Required
This is not a "learn on the job" position. This job is for experienced professionals with years of experience, particularly in framing roofs and managing subcontractors.
You need to be able to solve problems on the job and will be given the authority to do so.
We Supply Everything: Leave your personal tools at home. Our tool trailers are well organized and have every tool you will need.
