We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Elementary Generalist Teacher (Kindergarten–Grade 9) to join our team in a full-time probationary position at Starland Colony School, commencing August 26, 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the Alberta curriculum across Kindergarten to Grade 9 in a multi-grade, multi-subject classroom setting. This role requires the ability to effectively engage learners across a broad age range while creating a supportive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters curiosity, growth, and a love of learning. Strong classroom management skills and flexibility are essential in this dynamic setting.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practice, a solid understanding of effective teaching strategies, and the ability to meaningfully integrate educational technology into instruction. Training and experience in English as a Second Language (ESL) is required, along with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential.

The successful candidate must be adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable working in a small school environment. Previous experience in Hutterite Colony schools would be considered an asset.
