The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) drives the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle at Massilly North America (MNA), with a sharp focus on scaling our manufacturing, metal lithography, and high‑speed packaging teams. This role partners with plant supervisors to attract, select, and retain high‑performing production employees and technical experts. The TAS champions workforce planning to ensure our production lines remain fully staffed to meet our strict food‑safety packaging demands, all while aligning with Massilly’s commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
What you’ll do:
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for hourly plant personnel (Operators, Packers), skilled trades (Millwrights, Electricians), and technical roles, while supporting the TA Lead with salaried professional hires
- Partner closely with floor supervisors and department leaders to project upcoming workforce requirements and strategically align candidate talent pools with shifting production demands
- Deploy sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, professional networks, community partnerships, and industry‑specific talent pools to meet high‑volume manufacturing timelines
- Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to clearly identify staffing needs, core job duties, and required technical qualifications
- Create engaging job postings and assist the broader People & Culture team with the ongoing creation and refinement of job postings
- Manage candidate evaluation pipelines, conducting phone screens, coordinating on‑site plant interviews, and facilitating practical pre‑employment assessments (e.g., math, literacy, and basic technical reviews)
- Lead the offer process with successful candidates including background check process and conditional offer. Regret candidates post interviews
- Responsible for accurate, real‑time recruitment tracking and data maintenance utilizing both the internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and departmental spreadsheets
- Execute recruiting plans to actively achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while tracking and reporting on core hiring metrics (e.g., time‑to‑fill, quality‑of‑hire)
- Maintain organized and secure electronic filing systems for all applicant and candidate records in accordance with privacy regulations
- Actively promote Massilly’s brand, highlighting our history, community presence, family‑owned culture, and core organizational values across all candidate touchpoints, career fairs, and networking events
- Contribute to and support broader Talent Acquisition projects, HR initiatives, and employer branding campaigns as needed
- Partner with the People & Culture team to support processes related to succession planning and the implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs), facilitating internal mobility and preparing high‑potential employees for future advancement
- Create, curate, and maintain a centralized library of tools, guides, and resources designed to strengthen supervisory skills, empowering hiring managers to excel at recruitment, behavioral interviewing, and effective team onboarding
- Proactively make recommendations and support strategic HR projects aimed at continuous process improvements across hiring, onboarding, and long‑term retention frameworks
- Assist with developing, implementing, and managing a structured campus recruitment strategy, establishing partnerships with local colleges and universities to oversee meaningful co‑op and internship opportunities that feed our future talent pipeline
- Act as an operational backup to the People & Culture, Talent Lead to ensure seamless department coverage during absences or peak volumes
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post‑secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of high‑volume recruitment experience within a manufacturing, packaging, industrial, or fast‑paced logistics environment
- Proven experience recruiting for specialized plant roles, shift‑work personnel, and technical skilled trades
