About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support a mission-critical enterprise application and the Microsoft infrastructure behind it. This senior technical role is responsible for maintaining application availability, resolving complex incidents, supporting end users, and helping ensure a secure and reliable IT environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong application support expertise with hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Entra ID, Windows 10/11, and enterprise desktop management.

What You'll Be DoingApplication Support & Administration
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for a business-critical enterprise application.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, authentication, and integration issues.
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve incidents.
- Participate in service restoration activities and root cause analysis.
- Maintain application availability, security, and performance.
Microsoft Infrastructure & Endpoint Management
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Manage endpoint deployment, imaging, patching, and device lifecycle activities.
- Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, MFA, and identity management solutions.
- Deploy and maintain desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile device environments.
Technical Leadership
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Mentor and support service desk, staging, remote, and field support teams.
- Document solutions, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
Asset & Service Management
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records.
- Manage incident, request, and asset workflows using ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
- Support hardware deployment, asset tracking, shipping, and lifecycle management.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
- Strong Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support experience.
- Experience supporting business-critical line-of-business applications.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, SCCM / Configuration Manager, Group Policy, Windows 10/11, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience with mobile device management and endpoint security.
- Experience using ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL incident and problem management practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, or Intune Administrator.
- ServiceNow administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience supporting public sector, licensing, registry, permitting, or regulatory applications.
- Experience supporting multi-site or geographically distributed organizations.
- Familiarity with remote, distributed, or northern operating environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Webex, Crestron, Zoom, DTEN, or related audio/video conferencing environments.
Experience Canada's Arctic
