Position Overview: We are seeking certified and enthusiastic swim instructors to join our Hamilton team. As a swim instructor, you'll be responsible for conducting swimming lessons, assessing swimmers' abilities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for individuals of all ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 1:1 swimming lessons at our Hamilton location, ensuring personalized instruction for each swimmer.
- Assess swimmers' abilities and tailor lesson plans to individual needs.
- Instruct and demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety skills.
- Maintain a supportive and encouraging environment for swimmers' growth and progress.
- Track and communicate swimmers' advancements to their families.
- Teach a mixture of curriculum-based and independent goal programs (training supplied).
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during lessons.
- Keep excellent communication with supervisors.
Requirements:
- LSS Swim Instructor certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C
- National Lifeguard certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Preferred Experience:
Experienced instructors will be given priority

- Previous work with diverse age groups, from children to adults.
- Previous work with individuals who have varying abilities or special needs.
- Additional certifications in water safety or coaching.

A note:
- We strictly hire instructors for our mobile team from our current roster. Candidates looking for employment on our mobile team will need to complete a minimum of 2 full sessions with Marlin Swim Academy prior to being considered for this team. This is to ensure competency in instruction, independent work and familiarity with our programs.
