Duties

  • Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
  • Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, rolling sushi, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in meal preparation for various menu items beyond sushi as needed
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold hygiene standards
  • Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent food service experience
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency across dishes

Skills

  • Proven experience serving, preparing, and cooking sushi or similar Japanese cuisine
  • Strong background in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail for meal presentation and quality control
  • Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and the importance of hygiene and safety protocols

Pay: $23.10-$29.86 per hour
