Grey Rock Services is currently seeking a Surveyor for our operations in Labrador. We offer a stimulating work environment in a well-established enterprise; you can consistently exceed your limits. The position schedule will be a fly in, fly out rotation with flights and accommodations provided Our history is firmly embedded in the mining and construction industry of Labrador and Eastern Canada, and as an organization, we have been operating in the region for well over 50 years.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform field surveys competently, accurately, and efficiently.
- Read and understand design drawings, maps, and construction drawings.
- Aggressively seek out opportunities to provide survey support as a value-added member of the team.
- Work with, maintain, and manage survey equipment.
- Communicate job status with survey office to ensure good team effort.
- Prepare field notes depicting survey results and scope of work.
- Work with field project team to understand scope of work and prioritize tasks.
- Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education with a concentration in surveying/engineering.
- Must be familiar with field survey equipment and software.
- Good Computer skills.
- Good Communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team environment.
- Bilingualism (English and French), would be an asset;
- Must have a valid drivers’ license;
