payment methods to customers as well as support Amazon’s global CoBrand and Private label credit cards along with the world’s largest rewards catalog, Shop with Points.
This team helps Amazon expand globally by providing platform for FX (Foreign Exchange) and enabling payments in multiple currencies. The technology we build and operate varies widely, ranging from large scale Distributed Engineering incorporating the latest from Machine Learning in the Big Data space to customer and mobile friendly User Experiences. We are an agile team, moving quickly in
collaboration
with our business to bring new features to millions of Amazon customers while having fun and filing new inventions along the way.

Key job responsibilities
* Support and help evolve our team Tier-1 services, taking care of service heath, scaling for peaks, software and libraries upgrades
* Help the team reduce the ticket queue, resolve security and availability risks
A day in the life
As a support engineer for the ACCB team, you’ll work closely with a team of Software Development engineers, technical project manager and SDM to maintain and evolve our high traffic and high availability services. You’ll take care of scaling the services for peaks (Prime Day, Black Friday), check and report on service health and maintain the continuous deployment of the services.
About the team Amazon Currency Converter is part of the Amazon Payment organization and is responsible for handling cross currency transactions happening anywhere on Amazon.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Vancouver, BC, CANBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
– Experience troubleshooting and
debugging
technical systems
– Experience in UnixPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with
AWS, networks and operating systems
