Supervisor/Dispatch Jobs in Rocky Mountain House at XACT Pressure Services
Xact Pressure Services is seeking a Supervisor/Dispatch that is capable of working in a fast paced environment and looking to join a growing company. The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and is capable of prioritizing jobs while managing people. This position requires a focus on safety and the ability to have difficult conversations without being reactive. It requires long days and 24hr commitment while on shift.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Operations
- Rotational dispatch coordination. Managing driver schedules, unit availability, and job coverage
- Bids creation and scoping jobs
- Supervising drivers and units on site during operations, troubleshooting issues as they arise
- Filling in as a driver on tank truck, pressure truck or hydrovac duties as required
- Maintaining professional communication with customers, suppliers, government agencies, and all levels of management
Safety & Compliance
- Training and evaluating new drivers across all applicable divisions
- Orientation of new drivers
- Responding to and investigating field incidents in accordance with Alberta OH&S legislation
- Reporting all incidents and accidents to the Operations Manager and HSE within 24 hours
- Assessing employee fitness for duty; stopping work when safety is at risk
- Participating in monthly safety and operations meetings
- Continuously upgrading supervisory and safety-related training (Leadership, Hazard Assessment, Incident Investigation)
- Applying stop-work authority when any task poses a risk to people, equipment, or the environment
HR & Team Leadership
- Assisting with driver recruitment and onboarding
- Conducting annual performance reviews
- Issuing progressive discipline and completing required follow-up documentation
- Tracking driver training, incidents, accidents
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of oilfield or gas field experience
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Must reside in or immediately around Rocky Mountain House, AB
- TDG certification
- WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid current certifications
- Familiarity with pressure truck, hydrovac and fluid hauling operations specifically
Bonus Qualifications
- Previous dispatching experience in oilfield or industrial trucking
- Previous supervisory experience
