Summer Student (Housekeeping) Jobs in Grand Falls-Windsor at Westwood Inn & Suites
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Summer Student to join our Housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our establishment, contributing to the overall positive experience of our guests. Candidates must be students returning to High School or Post-Secondary School in September.
Job responsibilities include:
Clean and tidy guest rooms, ensuring they meet the established standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities as needed.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in guest rooms and common areas.
Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
Perform deep cleaning tasks on a regular basis, such as carpet shampooing and furniture upholstery cleaning.
Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items in guest rooms to maintenance.
Assist with laundry duties as necessary, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and seamless operations.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role, such as commercial or residential cleaner considered an asset but not required.
Strong verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
