Position Purpose

Research themes related to the period of history from early settlement to mid-20th century, specifically within the boundaries of the Town of Georgina that can be translated into demonstrations, activities, crafts and games. These activities will be delivered by the candidate and support staff to school-aged children over several weeks of summer camp.For full details, please see attached job description.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year university or college in an appropriate field (e.g. Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Arts Education, Recreation, Museum Studies, History, etc.)

Police Vulnerable Sector Check, deemed as satisfactory by the Town;

Current Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR ā€œCā€;

Young Canada Works Grant Requirements:

Please note that this position may be funded through Young Canada Works, as a result candidates that meet the following requirements will be preferred.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada,

Be between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.

Candidates must have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the work term and plan to return to full-time studies upon the completion of the work term.
