We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented co‑op student to join our Contracts and Proposal Management team at Lifemark Health Group (LHG). This hybrid role involves 2 days remote and 3 days on site at either 243 Consumers Rd, North York, ON M2J 4W8 (near Highway 404 and Highway 401) or 1 President’s Choice Circle, Brampton, ON L6Y 5S5.

In this role, you will
- Develop a Risk Standards Guide that documents the organization’s positions and escalation thresholds for key contractual provisions (e.g., limitation of liability, insurance, audit rights, survivability, financial exposure).
- Work with business units to develop standardized SOW templates to improve consistency and reduce contract cycle times.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of contracts, RFP sample agreements, and other contract documents to identify and summarize key risks.
- Coordinate with SDM Legal on proposed edits and risk assessments.
- Create issue lists and, when required, export material risks to the leadership team.
What we’re looking for
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Health Policy, or an equivalent field.
- Available to work full‑time hours, Monday‑Friday, from September 2026‑December 2026.
- Strong interest in corporate, commercial, healthcare, privacy, employment, or regulatory law.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build effective working relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with legal research platforms and document management systems is considered an asset.
- Previous internship, co‑op, or legal work experience is considered an asset.
- Interest in the healthcare industry is considered a strong asset.
