Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Strategic Relationship Management Consultant to design, implement, and operationalize the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) Strategic Relationship / Vendor Relationship Management (SRM) function.
This is a hands-on, execution-driven consulting engagement responsible for building foundational processes, establishing governance, and supporting the initial rollout of the SRM model. A key component of the role involves knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure long-term sustainability.
The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of technology, commercial management, governance, risk, and executive stakeholder engagement, helping ETS transition from ad‑hoc vendor oversight to a mature, enterprise-grade SRM function.
Key Objectives
- Develop and formalize an SRM strategy and operating model aligned with ETS goals
- Create governance structures, segmentation models, and performance scorecards for strategic vendors
- Conduct pilot engagements with select high-priority vendor relationships
- Produce repeatable artifacts, playbooks, templates, and frameworks for long-term adoption
- Ensure seamless transition and knowledge handover to permanent internal owners
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years in strategic technology partnership management and/or vendor relationship management
- Proven experience in establishing or transforming SRM or partner management functions
- Strong organizational, planning, and execution capabilities
- Solid commercial acumen, with understanding of governance, risk, and operating discipline
- Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience collaborating across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Risk, and Operations in large enterprises
- Familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks, third-party risk management, and compliance
Preferred Experience
- Background in Financial Services
- Ability to design governance processes that are effective yet low-friction
- Interest and adaptability to work across a broad range of technologies
- Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments while driving clarity and structure
