Shape Development Services at a community level as the Strategic Director of Development Services. Collaborate closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to elevate service and community planning.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee Building and Planning teams, providing strategic vision and expert guidance. Your experience will reduce barriers and enhance customer service while advising the CAO and Council on risks, opportunities, and legislative changes in development. You’ll lead major planning initiatives and guide updates to the Township’s Official Plan and Zoning By-laws.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to Building and Planning teams
• Advise the CAO and Council on development risks
• Lead the development of community planning policies
• Drive improvements in customer service
• Oversee updates to zoning and official planning
Requirements:
• Degree in planning, engineering, or related field
• 7–10 years of leadership experience in public sector
• Membership in professional associations preferred
• Strong budgeting and grant administration skills
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
