The role demands skills in issues management, crisis communication, and media relations. Additionally, you will coordinate public participation and develop impactful communication strategies to strengthen the municipality’s outreach and representation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategic communication initiatives
• Manage public engagement campaigns across departments
• Advise on crisis communication and media relations
• Foster relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
• Produce briefing notes, speeches, and messaging statements
Requirements:
• 5 years’ experience in communications or related fields
• Degree in Communications, PR, or Journalism required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage public relations effectively
• Valid Class 5 Operator’s License required
