Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, fostering a high-energy and customer-focused retail environment, and ensuring that our team delivers an exceptional shopping experience. The ideal candidate will be and experienced and motivated sales manager with a proven track record in sales leadership, the ability to coach, hold the team accountable and motivate to exceed sales goals.
Job Responsibilities:
Store Operation Duties
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of commission-based sales associates
- Helping to create and achieve store sales goals and budgets while still handling store level management responsibilities
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and success
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets
- Ensure a premium shopping experience by coaching the team on selling, product knowledge, and customer relationship-building.
- Monitor sales data, KPI’s, and team performance to identify areas of improvement and adjustments
- Be available to your staff via phone and email during store hours, even when you are not at the store
Customer Concerns
- Handle day to day customer complaints, warranty or service issues.
- Answer customer questions regarding estimated time of arrivals
Maintaining Floor Product
- Work with the Visual Merchandiser to maintain all floor merchandise plans and displays
- Ensure all product has correct pricing labels and responsible for creating any new signage
- Adhere to corporate guidelines, standards and directives
Staff Training and Onboarding Duties
- Ensure new sales and warehouse staff is properly trained in all aspects of their duties
- Give direction to staff to ensure Nordic policies and procedures are being followed
- Provide a safe work environment and report any deficiencies
Position Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Post-secondary education in Interior Design or Management would be an asset
Experience
- 3+ years of experience working in sales managment
- 3+ years of experience working in customer service
- 2+ years of experience working in a supervisory capacity
Job Qualifications:

- Ability to analyze sales merchandise reports & survey results

Work Environment and Compensation:

Store hours are from 10 am to 8 pm on weekdays, 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays and 11 am to 5 pm on Sundays. Working on weekends and Statutory Holidays will be mandatory however you will want to work them as that is when most of our business happens.
