Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, with a proven track record in retail management. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance team performance and engagement
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing levels to optimize operational efficiency
- Oversee merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory management
- Handle purchasing decisions and maintain supplier relationships to ensure product availability
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions and cash handling procedures
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
- Maintain administrative records including bookkeeping, budgeting, and sales reports
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, store policies, and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or sales management roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping
- Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and customers alike
- Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data using math skills for strategic decision-making
- Knowledge of marketing principles relevant to retail environments
- Experience in supervising employees through interviewing processes and performance evaluations
- Strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail in all aspects of store management
