Job Overview
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Stocker / Receiver, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and maintaining an organized, efficient distribution environment. This energetic position involves receiving shipments, stocking products, and supporting order fulfillment processes to help deliver exceptional service. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against shipping documents, and accurately unload trucks using equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks.
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically, ensuring products are organized for easy retrieval and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and update stock levels in real-time.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment using order pickers, MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems), and AS400 platforms.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing packages, labeling items correctly, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and communicate stock levels to supervisors for replenishment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and load/unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other warehouse equipment preferred.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar ERP systems, and basic math skills for inventory calculations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and maneuvering equipment safely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate stocking and inventory management.
- Knowledge of packaging standards and order picking techniques to optimize efficiency.
