We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized to support smooth restaurant operations. You will support daily kitchen operations by also assisting with basic food prep and ensuring hygiene standards are always met.
This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in food service, hospitality, and kitchen operations within a fast-paced setting.
Key Accountabilities
- Pre-rinsing dishes and flatware to remove loose debris.
- Maintaining the soap and water levels in the dishwashers.
- Washing large items in the sink and placing them on the racks for drying.
- Placing clean dishware and flatware on drying racks.
- Putting away dishes and utensils in the appropriate areas.
- Assisting the cooks with prepping (peeling, cutting, and plating) food items, when required.
- Sweeping and sanitizing the kitchen floor.
- Removing waste and trash from the kitchen.
- Maintaining the heart of house recycling and waste disposal areas.
- Assist kitchen staff with simple food preparation and organization tasks.
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures consistently.
- Support other team members during busy periods.
