Company DescriptionFerrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projects are to design, build and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) package.

Working together as Ontario Transit Group we are currently mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.

The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.

What is the project?

A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)

Stations:

One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station

Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations

Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown)

Job Description

Reporting to the Contract Manager Lead West (Contract Management team), the

Station

Contract Manager

shall:

Track and manage contractual events, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication.

Demonstrate proficiency in commercial processes and adeptly write contractual and technical letters addressed to the client and stakeholders.

Have a hands-on approach with the ability to provide advice on commercial strategy, including matters that involve contractual risk and risk management.

Have the ability, where required, to lead small teams of contract administrators.

Have the ability to draft contractual claims being made under the main contract and be able to defend subcontract claims.

Assist in the preparation of internal weekly and monthly Contract Management reports to senior management.

Assist in the collection of information regarding impact assessments for Variation Directives, contributing to informed decision-making processes.

Coordinate with the different teams and stakeholders to gather the required information.

Thoroughly review all reports, including construction reports, to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Review subcontractor claims to verify their inclusion in the appropriate channels (variations, delay, compensation events) and address any discrepancies.

Assist in the review process of payment applications to validate the accuracy of invoiced amounts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Assist in the negotiation of entitlement to variations with both upstream with the client and downstream with the supply chain.

Chair weekly contract management meetings with the operations team.

Track the Stations daily and weekly progress.
