Synergy Pavement Group is a growing leader in commercial asphalt and concrete construction throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and surrounding states. We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated In-House Accountant to help manage our financial operations and support our continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Track job costing and project profitability
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Maintain compliance with tax filings and regulatory requirements
- Support year-end audits and work with external CPAs
- Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with construction accounting and job costing is a plus
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
