Job Title: Stable Hand
Job Summary:
Join our team as a Stable Hand where you will play a crucial role in the daily care and maintenance of our farm. You will be responsible for assisting with feeding, handling, and farm management tasks to ensure the well-being of our horses. Reliability and consistency is of the utmost importance! All employees are required to work a minimum of one weekend day.
Responsibilities:
– Perform daily tasks related to growing and maintaining the farm
– Assist with feeding and cleaning
– Clean stalls, pastures, and equipment regularly
– Monitor animal health and report any concerns to management
– Assist with basic maintenance using hand tools and power tools
– Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for animals and staff
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in horse care
– Basic math skills for measuring feed and medications
– Knowledge of horse care practices is a plus
– Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs At least) and work outdoors in various weather conditions
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
