SRE Dynatrace Specialist

OVERVIEW

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Dynatrace Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and observability of large-scale, distributed systems. This position involves full orchestration of Dynatrace, including infrastructure monitoring, synthetic monitoring, real user monitoring, and incident management, while collaborating with application owners, developers, and support teams to enhance application performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience with Dynatrace and a strong understanding of its integration with ServiceNow. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to communicate complex technical issues clearly. The candidate will thrive in a hybrid work environment, working both independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid (2 days a month in office), city and province/state only

Contract Length: 3 months, with a possibility of extension

Hours: 9 AM to 5 PM EST

Pay: T4: $ 83 / IC$96

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the full orchestration of Dynatrace, including all phases, infrastructure, synthetic monitoring, and real user monitoring.
• Collaborate with application owners, developers, infrastructure teams, and support teams to ensure optimal application performance.
• Provide actionable recommendations for improving application reliability and performance.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Dynatrace components as needed.
• Manage Dynatrace tenants, environments, and user access effectively.
• Monitor application health, availability, and performance metrics continuously.
• Track end-to-end transactions across distributed systems to ensure seamless operation.
• Ensure that critical business applications meet established performance targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Dynatrace.
• Strong familiarity with Dynatrace integration with ServiceNow.
• Experience leveraging Dynatrace Davis AI to its full potential.
• Proficient in Dynatrace SRG, workflows, defining guardians, objectives, and integration with JIRA/SNOW.
• Experience integrating SRG into deployment pipelines for go/no-go decisions.
• Familiarity with the Dynatrace WCCS framework (Gen-3 Dashboards) from a business-centric perspective.
• Strong understanding of SRE golden signals and the ability to set up alerts and thresholds according to SLO/SLI/SLAs.
• Proficiency in Dynatrace DQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical issues clearly.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Dynatrace orchestration and monitoring tools.

• JIRA and SNOW integration.

PREFERRED

• Dynatrace Certifications.
• Background in software development or platform engineering.
• Experience in large enterprise environments.
