We are seeking a candidate for an immediate, permanent opening at our Embrun, Ontario location (not remote). The annual salary for this role is $160,000 – $175,000 CAD, commensurate with experience, and includes eligibility for a performance bonus.

The Sr. VP of Sales and Operations leads Kärcher Municipal’s sales and service operations. This position requires a proven track record of managing these functions with experience in markets, particularly in the USA and Canada. It is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of these areas, driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and fostering collaboration with key stakeholders across North America.

The Sr. VP of Sales & Operations will be a dynamic leader who develops and executes strategies that drive business expansion while maintaining a culture of innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement. This position reports to the Kärcher North America Regional Managing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Lead the development and implementation of the company’s long-term sales and service strategies aligned with the overall business vision.
    • Build a cohesive strategy to drive growth in Canadian and U.S. markets.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, customer‑centricity, and operational excellence.
    • Enhance leadership effectiveness by adopting a collaborative and constructive management style.
    • Oversee all aspects of the firm’s sales, including sales strategy, customer acquisition, and market research.
    • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
    • Accelerate Canadian and U.S. sales initiatives to meet or exceed aggressive growth targets.
  • Service Management
    • Oversee all customer service and support aspects, including technical support, field service, warranty programs, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
    • Develop and implement service strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty. Ensure service level agreements and quality standards are met.
  • International Relations & Market Expansion
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and distributors in the USA and Canada.
    • Lead efforts to expand the company’s market presence and product distribution in international markets. Collaborate with global partners and suppliers to align sales and service strategies.
    • Lead the organization to achieve revenue growth and profitability targets for the sales and service functions.
    • Drive financial accountability within the sales and service teams.
  • Team Leadership
    • Inspire and develop a high performing KMC team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management aligned with KNA standards.
    • Create a culture of teamwork, transparency and innovation.
    • Drive diversity and inclusion.
    • Partner with the KNA leadership team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as a vital company representative to clients, partners, distributors, and industry groups.
    • Lead business development through regular travel to the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications &

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in a senior leadership role in sales, service and/or back‑end operations in municipal business.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management (working closely with the CFO).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and develop high performers.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and networking in global contexts.
  • Must be able to travel (moderate to frequent).
  • Thorough understanding of financial management, including financial analysis, cost control, pricing strategies, and investment analysis.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to sales, service, and marketing, including product safety regulations, antitrust laws, and data privacy regulations.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of Kärcher’s Municipal products and services including technical specifications, applications and competitive advantages.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and best practices for managing customer interactions and data.
