Our client is looking for Sr. Azure & Virtualization Specialist to support a migration project for an Energy company.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure & Virtualization Specialist to support a high-impact project focused on migrating and modernizing their virtual desktop infrastructure. This initiative involves transitioning to Azure Local VDI and overhauling the existing Citrix environment.
Must Have’s:
5+ years of proven experience with Azure Local VDI (mandatory)
Strong background in virtualization technologies
, including Citrix
Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and services
Familiarity with Microsoft-certified Azure Local hardware requirements
Experience in VDI design, architecture, and implementation
Ability to assess risks and provide mitigation strategies
Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models
, particularly E5
Responsibilities:
Lead and support the design and implementation of Azure Local VDI solutions
Assess and modernize the current Citrix environment
Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture, requirements, and deployment strategy
Participate in a two-phase project approach

Design Phase: Develop architecture, validate requirements, and contribute to Statement of Work (SOW)
Implementation Phase: Execute deployment and migration activities
Evaluate Microsoft-certified Azure Local infrastructure
, including hardware requirements (e.g., certified HP configurations)
Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks associated with Azure Local deployment
Review and validate licensing requirements
, ensuring compatibility with Microsoft E5 licensing for VDI sessions
