Duties
- Install new sprinkler and irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment such as an excavator when necessary
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot existing sprinkler systems to identify issues and perform repairs promptly
- Adjust sprinkler heads, valves, timers, and controllers to optimize water distribution across lawns and landscaped areas
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape design and maintenance plans
- Perform seasonal system winterization and start-up procedures to ensure longevity and proper functioning year-round
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system updates for each project or service call
- Assist with general lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticultural tasks to support comprehensive outdoor space management
Requirements
Must have 5 years minimum experience
Must be able to lead a crew
Must be able to diagnose any problem
Must have own hand tools
Locating equipment will be provided
Must comunicate well with customers
Must be able to design irrigation systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related equipment
- Familiarity with landscaping, lawn care, and landscape maintenance practices
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as an excavator is preferred
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to understand plant water needs and landscape health
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, or system schematics accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting system issues
- Valid driver’s license; ability to operate construction or landscaping machinery is a plus
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with irrigation installation projects, landscaping design principles, or certifications in horticulture or landscape maintenance. A background in construction or land development can also be beneficial. This role requires physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions and a commitment to safety standards when handling tools and equipment.
