Speech-Language Pathologist Jobs in Youngstown, OH at Progressive ABA Therapy Group

Progressive ABA Therapy Group is an established and growing practice dedicated to supporting children and their families. While our company specializes in applied behavior analysis (ABA) services, we are expanding our comprehensive outpatient offerings. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team, provide exceptional care to clients, and support us in growing this clinical department.

The Role

As an Outpatient SLP, you will have the opportunity to help build and shape a dynamic speech therapy caseload. While our organization usually serves children with autism, your clientele will be built from outside referrals and will not be exclusively associated with the company’s ABA program. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of behavior analysts, assistant behavior analysts, and psychologists to provide comprehensive care to outpatient clients as needed. This role requires strong self-management, previous management experience, clinical excellence, strong interpersonal collaboration skills, and the flexibility to meet the needs of clients and their families.

Duties

  • Develop tailored treatment plans based on physiological and anatomical knowledge to address individual patient needs.
  • Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions for pediatric patients, including those in early intervention programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure highly effective communication strategies across disciplines.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech development milestones, therapeutic exercises, and strategies for ongoing support at home.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and clinical notes in accordance with medical terminology and compliance standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques, physiology research, and anatomy to consistently enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the State of Ohio, with appropriate credentialing for independent practice (CCC-SLP required).
  • Experience: Proven experience working with pediatric populations in school settings or early intervention programs.
  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for children with diverse needs, as well as familiarity with patient assessment methods specific to speech and swallowing disorders.
  • Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex medical terminology clearly and effectively to patients and families.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work with other professionals in an effective manner.
  • Flexibility: Ability to modify procedures and approaches to meet the needs of clients and their families.

Preferred Background: Experience working within educational environments or school districts is highly preferred. Experience with developing or supervising within a clinic speech department is strongly preferred.
