Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Analyst to join our client’s

dynamic

team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of voice applications by analyzing speech patterns, fine-tuning conversational bots, and developing robust language models. This position offers the opportunity to work with

Responsibilities:

Analyze speech and text data to improve voice

recognition

and natural language understanding (NLU) models.

Tune and annotate conversational bots, focusing on optimizing performance and user interaction.

Develop and implement data visualization and modeling techniques to identify trends and patterns in speech data.

Write and refine utterances for various scenarios to enhance the accuracy and naturalness of conversational models.

Collaborate with the development team to assist in the integration and

optimization

of voice applications, such as Google Dialogflow.

Utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence for

project management

and documentation.

Conduct root cause analysis to address speech

recognition

issues and implement effective remediation plans.

Maintain high standards of data annotation in multiple languages, with a focus on English and French, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Desired Skills and

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in data analysis, with a strong background in statistical analysis and data mining.

Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning techniques applicable to speech analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics or a related field is highly desirable.

At least 2 years’ experience in conversational bot tuning and speech analysis, including speech repair and fine-tuning of NLU systems.

Experience with

IVR applications and familiarity with voice application development.

Native or professional proficiency in English and French; proficiency in Spanish is an additional advantage.

Strong

analytical skills

with the ability to identify issues and implement strategic solutions.

Excellent verbal and written

communication skills

.

Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
