A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistic

Reporting to the IDC Compliance Lead, the IDC Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. They will collaborate with various departments to ensure that the IDCs (Independent Delivery Contractor) operate in a compliant and ethical manner.

Main responsibilities:

  • Organized records related to compliance activities, including policies, procedures, training materials, and audit documentation.
  • Participate in compliance audits and assessments, both internal and external,
    with a strong emphasis on CNESST and Québec regulatory audits.
    Collaborate with audit teams to address findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Generate regular reports on compliance activities, key performance indicators, and potential areas of concern. Provide reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing compliance risks within the organization. Collaborate with relevant departments to develop strategies for mitigating these risks.
  • Support investigations into compliance-related issues, incidents, or violations,
    including CNESST claims, government inquiries, and enforcement actions
    . Work closely with the Compliance Manager/Director to resolve and report on such matters.
  • Monitor and stay up-to-date with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. Assist in interpreting regulations and ensuring compliance across the organization.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Work with cross-functional teams to communicate and train employees on these policies.
  • Foster a culture of compliance by promoting open communication and awareness of compliance matters throughout the organization.
  • Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, legal studies, or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compliance administration, regulatory affairs, or related roles is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proven, hands‑on experience with CNESST compliance and claims management in Québec,
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and
    relationship-building abilities.
  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
