The Role
We are currently looking to add two Spark Watch Attendants to our group for a project in Redwater.
Start Date: Mid-March
Rotation: Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm (10 hours/day)
Rate: $20.00/hour
Pay Schedule: Weekly Pay (Friday)
What You Will Be Doing
Ensure safety of other workers at our project
Follow rules, policies and procedures as per client and company standards
Monitor designated areas for signs of fire or smoke (generally around welders when welding)
Know where all safety equipment is located: Fire extinguishers, eye-wash stations, shower units.
Continuously observing hot work actively for the detection of, and response to, fires during hot work operations
Requirements
Firewatch Ticket from Energy Canada (course training will be provided by OCL Group)
High attention to detail. Remain alert and ability to take initiative
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test
Must have reliable transportation to get to/from site
Positive attitude and team player
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions on an industrial site

Physical Requirements
Employees will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch or crawl. Employees should be physically and mentally fit with the ability to do these tasks for 10 hours/day.
