We are looking for a driven, team-focused Sous Chef to be the right-hand to our Executive Chef in Stillwater. What You Will Do

  • Be the Right-Hand: Partner with the Executive Chef to prep, season, and cook incredible dishes, ensuring top-tier quality and consistency.
  • Step Up and Lead: Confidently take the reins and manage daily kitchen operations, lead the team, and keep things running smoothly when the Executive Chef is away.
  • Master the Prep Line: Keep the service line fully stocked, prepped, and ready to roll, especially before and during prime service hours.
  • Manage the Goods: Oversee kitchen stock, receive vendor truck deliveries, and strictly enforce our first-in, first-out (FIFO) food rotation for ultimate freshness.
  • Maintain the Standard: Keep the kitchen, storage units, and equipment spotless, organized, and well above standard health codes.
  • Support the Community: Pitch in during special events (up to 3 per semester) to help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our chapter members.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 1 to 2+ years of relevant culinary or kitchen experience.
  • A calm, focused demeanor—you thrive under pressure and can prioritize tasks efficiently without losing your cool.
  • A strong service mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to learn from and support the Executive Chef.
  • ServSafe Certification (or the ability to obtain it within the first available class after hire) and a valid food handler’s card.
  • A genuine, undeniable passion for food.
  • Physical stamina for a bustling kitchen, including the ability to stay on your feet for extended periods and safely lift 50+ lbs (think unloading vendor trucks and hauling heavy stockpots).

Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
