Role Description The Social Media Content Creator is a hybrid, contract role responsible for developing engaging video content across social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok. This role involves planning and executing content calendars, writing posts and captions, creating visual assets or briefs, and adapting content for different audiences and channels. The Social Media Content Creator will collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with brand voice, campaign objectives, and organizational mission. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring trends, optimizing posts for reach and engagement, managing basic community interactions (e.g., comments and messages), and providing performance insights to inform future content.

Qualifications

  • Strong social media content creation skills, including writing clear, engaging copy and tailoring messages for different platforms and audiences.
  • Strong videography and video editing skills for Instagram, TikTok, etc.
  • Ability to plan and manage social content calendars, support campaign execution, and maintain consistent brand voice across channels.
  • Knowledge of social media best practices, including audience engagement, hashtags, trend monitoring, and analytics for performance tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Previous experience creating content for purpose-led brands, nonprofits, charities, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and receiving constructive feedback to refine content.
  • Relevant education or training in marketing, communications, media, or a related field is preferred but not required.
