Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Slope Stability Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assisting mining operations at the Chino Mine near Silver City, NM. This role supports field projects, GPS/survey equipment, data collection & technical troubleshooting in a mining environment. Great opportunity for candidates with technical, mechanical, electrical or field support experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with field projects & technical support tasks
- Collect data & help troubleshoot equipment issues
- Support GPS/GIS mapping & survey activities
- Maintain project documentation
- Assist with equipment inspections & evaluations
- Follow all safety procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ year of technical, field or industrial experience
- Basic computer & troubleshooting skills
- Able to work safely in an industrial environment
- Strong communication skills
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mining, construction or industrial experience
- Experience with GPS equipment, radars, total stations or similar tools
- Mechanical, electrical or electronics aptitude
Work Environment
- Outdoor mine / industrial setting
- Rotating shifts may be required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- PPE required
