As a temporary 0.90 FTE Skills for Life/Learning Support Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized programs.
Your role demands strong skills in adapting curricula for students with diverse learning profiles while fostering emotional and social growth. Collaborate with a dedicated team to create effective educational experiences during the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement life skills programs for secondary students
• Adapt and modify teaching strategies for diverse needs
• Collaborate to develop Individual Education Plans (IEP)
• Advocate for inclusive practices and support students
• Maintain accurate records and time management skills
Requirements:
• Degree in Special Education
• Minimum two years of successful teaching experience
• Experience with modification strategies and AAC tools
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
