Sitework Foreman – Excavation, Utilities & Grading
SiteTech Services Inc. is looking for an experienced Sitework Foreman to lead excavation, underground utility, grading, drainage, demolition, and foundation excavation projects in the Lakewood, NJ area.
This is a hands-on field leadership position. The right candidate should be able to manage crews, read plans, coordinate equipment and materials, communicate with inspectors and project managers, and keep jobs moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead field crews on sitework and excavation projects
- Read plans, utility layouts, grades, elevations, and details
- Coordinate daily manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Oversee foundation excavation, sewer, water, storm drainage, drywells, trenching, grading, demolition, and related sitework
- Check grades, depths, slopes, pipe elevations, and layout
- Keep accurate daily records of work performed, labor, equipment, deliveries, and job progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
- Identify field issues early and help solve problems before they become expensive, because apparently dirt can get complicated
Requirements
- 5+ years of sitework, excavation, utility, or heavy civil construction experience
- 2+ years as a foreman, leadman, or crew leader
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, compaction, drainage, and utility installation
- Ability to read plans and understand grades, elevations, and pipe slopes
- Experience managing crews and daily field operations
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physical construction work as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sewer, water, storm drainage, drywells, septic, and recharge systems
- Equipment operating experience
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Experience with lasers, pipe lasers, GPS, or layout tools is a plus
Compensation
$35-$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.
Work Location
Lakewood, NJ and surrounding job sites.
