The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily construction site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role supervises site personnel, coordinates subcontractors, monitors project progress, and enforces safety and quality standards on-site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and site operations
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, laborers, and site personnel
- Monitor project schedules, timelines, and work progress
- Ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Enforce workplace safety policies and conduct site safety inspections
- Resolve on-site operational issues and provide technical guidance when needed
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment usage, and manpower allocation
- Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates to project managers
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
- Maintain site documentation including reports, logs, and incident records
- Monitor project costs and assist in controlling operational expenses
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the construction site
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is preferred
- Proven experience in construction supervision or site management
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Willing to work on-site and handle field operations
Pay: $82,000.00-$99,000.00 per year
