Falcon Site Solutions is looking for a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join our professional team as a Technician at our Slave Lake location.
This position supports the assembly, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Falcon’s growing mobile surveillance tower fleet across our network. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with equipment, technology, and real-world problem solving.
The candidate does not need to be an expert in every area, but must be mechanically inclined, adaptable, comfortable learning new systems, and willing to travel throughout Falcon’s service area.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble, inspect, maintain, and repair mobile surveillance tower units.
- Support tower deployments, returns, inspections, testing, and field service calls.
- Travel throughout Northern Alberta to support customer sites, branch locations
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, generator, battery, solar, lighting, camera, router, Starlink, and cellular connectivity issues.
- Assist with camera & router setup, SIM cards, antennas, PoE switches, cabling, and network connectivity.
- Perform preventative maintenance, complete service documentation, and ensure tower units are rental-ready.
- Represent Falcon professionally while working with customers on site.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Maintain work areas, service vehicles, tools, and parts in a clean and organized manner.
- Assist with ordering parts, tracking components, and identifying required repair items.
- Help identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to tower reliability, serviceability, assembly, and deployment processes.
- Participate in the branch or division on-call schedule and be available for overtime as required.
- Support other Falcon rental equipment, branch operations, or related tasks as needed.
Travel Requirement
This role requires regular travel throughout Northern Alberta, including areas such as Slave Lake, High Prairie, Athabasca, Peace River, Whitecourt, and surrounding regions. The successful candidate must be comfortable driving for extended periods, working on remote jobsites, adapting when plans change in the field, and completing occasional early mornings, long days, or overnight travel as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with a clean abstract required. Class 3 would be considered an asset.
- Possess at minimum a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Post secondary education in a relevant field would be considered a strong asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and technology is required.
- Familiarity with generators, trailers, hydraulics, small engines, automotive repair, heavy equipment, electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, or rental industry experience would be considered an asset.
- Basic comfort using laptops, mobile apps, cameras, routers, Wi-Fi, SIM cards, or internet troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Starlink, cellular routers, IP cameras, PoE switches, antennas, Verkada, Axis, Ubiquiti, Teltonika, or similar systems would be considered a strong asset, but is not required.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, service processes, and equipment specifications.
- Physically fit and able to lift, stack, pull, and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Safety certifications such as First Aid, TDG, H2S, WHMIS, or other related training would be considered an asset.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can work with tools, learn technology, travel to remote sites, and bring a positive solutions focused attitude when troubleshooting in the field. A strong fit would be someone who has worked around electronic device repairs, equipment, vehicles, generators, trailers, hydraulics, or electrical systems and also has the patience and interest to learn cameras, routers, connectivity, and tower technology.
