We are seeking a full-time, permanent DTC Shopify Ecommerce Operations Owner to own the day-to-day execution, operational quality, and revenue performance of our Shopify websites across multiple premium consumer kitchenware brands. This role spends the majority of time inside Shopify managing merchandising, launches, promotions, site content, QA and revenue performance. 

 

This role is for a highly detail-oriented site operator and revenue owner who thrives in fast-paced ecommerce environments and takes full ownership of site execution and sales outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring launches, promotions, merchandising, and site operations are executed accurately, on-time, and to a premium standard. 

 

Important: This role is NOT a paid media, PPC, digital marketing, Amazon marketplace, software development, or general ecommerce strategy position.

 

 

What you will own: 

You will own the operational execution and ongoing health of our Shopify storefronts across brands. You will ensure ecommerce initiatives are executed accurately, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail. If something is broken, late, inaccurate, underperforming, or poorly executed — you own identifying it, coordinating resolution, and ensuring it does not happen again. 

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Executing product launches, campaigns, and promotions on Shopify 
  • Managing homepage, collections, navigation, and PDP quality across brands 
  • Implementing bundles, pricing logic, upsells, merchandising, and promotional configurations 
  • Performing site QA and validating all launches and updates before they go live 
  • Executing and supporting CRO improvements, tests, and shopping journey optimizations 
  • Managing Shopify apps, integrations, and operational workflows 
  • Monitoring site speed, checkout health, technical stability, and customer experience 
  • Coordinating with paid media, retention, creative, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution across all customer touchpoints 
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies and proactively improving workflows and processes 
  • Monitoring site performance and identifying opportunities to improve conversion and customer experience 
  • Maintaining organized documentation, launch calendars, and operational processes 
  • Delivering regular store performance and operational reporting 

 

What success looks like: 

  • Product launches and promotions execute cleanly, accurately, and on-time 
  • The website consistently feels premium, intentional, polished, and reliable 
  • Site issues and customer-impacting problems are identified and resolved quickly 
  • Conversion rate and AOV improve consistently through operational and merchandising improvements 
  • Teams trust that ecommerce execution will be handled thoroughly and reliably 
  • Operational processes become more organized, scalable, and proactive over time 

 

What we are looking for:  

  • 3+ years of hands-on ecommerce operations experience in a single role (preferably your current or last role), Shopify preferred 
  • Premium DTC brand experience in a 7-8 figure store in annual sales 
  • Proven experience executing pricing, product launches, promotions, merchandising updates, shopping cart optimization and ecommerce site operations 
  • Strong attention to detail and operational ownership mindset 
  • Strong merchandising, UX, and CRO instincts 
  • Comfortable working directly inside Shopify and managing app stacks, promotions, and operational workflows 
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in fast-paced environment 
  • Calm under pressure with ability to manage multiple concurrent launches and deadlines 
  • Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills 
  • Process-oriented mindset with focus on operational quality and execution excellence 
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, gaps, and improvement opportunities before they  

 

Nice to have: 

  • Shopify Plus experience 
  • PPC/SEO experience  
  • Basic HTML/CSS familiarity for troubleshooting and QA 

 

This role is not for you if: 

  • You are primarily a strategist, growth marketer, or media buyer looking for high-level P&L ownership 
  • You primarily relied on agencies or others to execute launches and site updates 
  • You prefer high-level planning over operational execution and accountability 
  • You dislike detailed QA, process management, and fast-moving launch environments 
  • You focus mainly on completing assigned tasks rather than owning outcomes and execution quality 
  • You are looking for a coding/development role with limited store ownership responsibility
