Shop Support-Surface Preparation Specialist
Overview
We’re seeking a dependable Shop Support team member with hands‑on experience in sanding, bondo/body filler, and basic fiberglass work. You’ll help prepare components for paint and finishing within our custom fabrication shop.
Responsibilities
- Sand wood, foam, and composite parts using hand and power tools
- Apply, shape, and finish bondo/body filler
- Perform basic fiberglass patching and reinforcement
- Prep surfaces for primer and paint
- Support paint and fabrication teams with surface‑prep tasks
- Stage materials, stock supplies, and maintain clean work areas
- Wrap, pack, load, and unload materials and finished pieces
- Follow direction from shop leads and production manager
- Occasional travel to job sites as needed
- Other assigned duties as shop needs require
Requirements
- Experience with sanding, bondo, and fiberglass in a shop or fabrication environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable with tools, measuring, and physical tasks
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely
- Prior experience in fabrication, construction, carpentry, or paint/finish work
- Valid US driver license

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
