Hogan Chevrolet Buick GMC Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shop Foreman to join our team in Scarborough, ON. This is a full-time position where the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy auto repair shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the auto industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This position offers a base salary plus commission, and the opportunity to advance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $55000 to $85000 per year, salary/bonus combined paid biweekly. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate can expect to receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the auto repair shop, including scheduling and delegating tasks to technicians and other staff members
Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency in the shop to meet and exceed customer expectations and business goals
Monitor and manage the performance of technicians, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure timely and quality repairs
Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status, address any concerns or complaints, and ensure a positive customer experience
Conduct regular inventory checks and order necessary supplies and parts as needed to maintain a well-stocked and organized shop
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations in the shop
Train and mentor new technicians, promoting a supportive and collaborative team environment
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements to continuously improve shop operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the auto industry, with a strong background in auto repair and service
Previous management experience is preferred, but not required
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of auto repair techniques, tools, and equipment
Ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
