Shipping Dispatch Jobs in Hamilton at Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd

What you will be doing:

Answer all incoming inquiries regarding pickups and general load/driver inquiries
Coordinate and manage drivers runs and schedule
Communicate with drivers to ensure all pickups are done in a timely fashion and handle any of their issues or problems causing delay
Maintain data entries to ensure accurate record of driver actions
Assist customers with other commodities other than OCC
Create and book loads in Descartes
Notify Dispatch Coordinator or Supervisor of any deficiencies with drivers, load plans or Descartes
Other duties as assigned by the Manager

What you will bring to the table:

3-5 years progressive experience in a dispatch role
Post-Secondary education preferred
Strong communication skills
Ability to work autonomously and with little direction
Must be a team player committed to maintaining desired service levels
Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to demonstrate the ability to solve problems in a fast paced environment
Ability to present themselves in a professional manner to vendors and customers both internal and external.
