Summary:The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of the logistics department. The Shipping Coordinator understands the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of outgoing items and must keep constant communication between forklift operators and other departments. The Shipping Coordinator must be prepared to work as a team member with minimal supervision, follow all safety and food safety procedures, and have a high threshold for cold in a manufacturing environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities(including but not limited to):
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs between three buildings via ERP
Schedule shipping and receiving appointments
Make sure the shippers are loading the correct orders being shipped out
Keep a meticulous record of shipment information
Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages and any issues on the floor
Check stock for product availability
Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition
Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are picked and shipped to company standards
Coordinate shipping and receiving of goods and trucks
Prepare and submit daily reports. Ensure all logistics related paperwork are filed, organized and easily accessible
Ensure all inspections/checklists are completed on a daily basis
Liaison closely with Internal Operations, Production Departments, Customers, Brokers, Carriers, Off-Site Third-Party locations and other parties as needed from time to time.
Contact carriers to make arrangements and issue instructions for shipping and delivery of orders; maintain a schedule for deliveries
Adhering to all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety etc) at all times.

Package: Hourly Payrate: CAD$ 22.00 + 2 weeks paid time off + health and dental benefits at no cost + RRSP
