Job Description:
Under the direction of the shipping supervisor, the Shipping Clerk is accountable for the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to customers and duties associated with inventory control and maintenance while supporting a safe and professional work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
· Use computer or paper guided picklists
· Select and verify correct part number, quantity, and serial number and record to picklist
· Process orders accurately through ERP or Web based software
· Using specific scripted processes, package and label picked parts
· Assemble order containers and packaging
· Package orders ensuring part protection
· Perform scheduled cycle counts
· Ensure proper bin placement and labeling conventions
· Restocking supplies
· Prepare carrier paperwork and labeling through Web based software
· Verify contents of shipment for accuracy and completeness
· Perform regular monthly, quarterly, and yearly maintenance as needed
· Complete any applicable maintenance logs for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
· Keep work area clean throughout the day
· Know and use FOD prevention “Best Practices” in assigned area
· Adhere to all company policy and procedure, including attendance/tardiness standards
· Work on scheduled shifts and overtime as needed
· Prepare for and attend meetings as requested
· Wear all PPE required for the tasks assigned
· Proper use of all equipment including use of safety features installed
· Recognize company safety policies and consistently work toward promotion and implementation
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
0 – 2 years of Shipping Related Experience
0 – 2 years of Aerospace Manufacturing Experience
0 – 2 years of ERP or other Manufacturing Management Software Experience
Basic Understanding of Microsoft Office Products
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in aerospace manufacturing.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
