Position Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials, parts, and documentation. This position ensures incoming shipments are accurately received, verified, and processed while maintaining organized inventory and supporting outbound shipment preparation. The role plays a key part in maintaining organized inventory accuracy, timely purchasing activity, and smooth coordination between receiving, inspection, and production.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive incoming packages, materials, and parts; verify quantities, conditions, and accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
· Check in received materials and process all associated paperwork and system transactions in a timely manner.
· Create and process purchase orders as directed
· Monitor and track backlog of pending orders; follow up as needed to support timely delivery.
· Receive, review, and enter Material Test Reports (MTRs) into company records or systems.
· Organize and maintain incoming inserts, PEMs, and related hardware inventory.
· Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
· Help maintain accurate inventory records through proper receiving, staging, and transaction entry.
· Follow company safety procedures for material handling, storage, and movement of goods.
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous shipping and receiving experience; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
· Understanding of receiving documentation such as packing slips, purchase orders, and material certifications.
· Basic material handling experience, including loading, unloading, staging, and organizing materials.
· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in counts, paperwork, and system transactions.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and system navigation.
· Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safety as required.
