Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Work hand in hand with Green Belting production team to ship product off the warehouse
Receive products from vendors as they are delivered, including the verification of the number of items received as well as assuring that it is he correct product ordered.
Load/unload trucks, check delivery slips and BOL’s to confirm correct product and count
Request help from licensed team members able to use the forklift to move products & pallets, and ensuring products that requires storage are placed in the appropriate areas
Inspect freight for damages and report if any are found
Generate delivery slips and BOL’s either electronically or manually
Help with production team to organize the floor and inventory, put stock away accordingly
Keep the dock neat and tidy
Organize, review, and check orders using the dedicated computer system
Entering orders received and shipped in the computer system
Record detailed shipping/receiving documentation
Service customers, receive shipments from suppliers, provide information to delivery drivers
Organize delivery schedule and instruct delivery drivers accordingly
Picking and shipping all orders that are to be completed and shipped from the shop daily
Ensure that the standards are met as it pertains to proper inspection, packaging of products received and shipped
Tracking shipments and sending out confirmation of tracking numbers to customers.
Participating in cycle/physical counts & inventory operations as required.
Ensures that all policies and procedures are followed
Comply with all company procedures and safety practices
Attend prescribed courses and training as required
Other duties as required by the Management.
Physical Demands & Requirements
Prior experience in Shipping-Receiving is required
Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
Proficiency with MS office, internet solutions, computerized systems – software or ERP
Regularly required to stand; walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
Excellent attendance
Goodhand/eye coordination
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to push/pull up to 35 pounds
Prior experience with Forklift is an asset
Conditions
Job Location: PTFE Green Belting – Ammega, 265 Export Boulevard, Mississauga, ON
Salary: from 20 $ per hour to 21 $ per hour – depending on profile and experience
Days of work: Monday to Friday – Permanent Full time position, 40 hours per week
Shift: Morning shift only (no night or afternoon shift)
This is NOT a rotating shift work
