Overview
Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add a Full-Time Permanent Shipper/Receiver to our Calgary, AB Team.

The Shipper/Receiver is a vital employee at the branch, ensuring the smooth operation of packages and freight into and out of the branch. The Shipper/Receiver also assists with other logistics support tasks such as warehouse and yard maintenance, local parts deliveries, and some production support tasks. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, an independent, organized, detail and safety-oriented individual with knowledge of warehousing would be an ideal candidate for this position. The successful candidate must have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence and be willing to work outdoors in all conditions. This is a non-shift-work position, and we encourage all candidates with interest and appropriate knowledge and experience to apply.

Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries, providing familiarization and training for the right candidate.

Valid Class-5 driver’s license is mandatory, licensure above Class 5 is considered an asset. A driver’s abstract may be required
Experience in customer service is considered a major asset
CSA Standard B335-15 – Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training or equivalent is a significant asset, but not required
Post-secondary education in logistics, warehouse, or transportation is an asset
Knowledge of the truck or heavy equipment industry would be beneficial
