Shipping And Receiving job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving person who will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments. In this position, you will ensure that all shipments are properly labeled, loaded, and unloaded. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments and communicate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be expected to perform a range of other tasks related to maintaining a warehouse and office space.
Shipping And Receiving duties and responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies
Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders or invoices
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments
Ensure proper storage and handling of incoming and outgoing products
Cycle count inventory and report any discrepancies or shortages
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
Communicate with team members regarding shipping and receiving issues
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
General warehouse maintenance and cleaning duties

Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
Ability to learn shipping and receiving procedures and regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
