Full job description
Responsibilities:
– Install, repair, and maintain sheet metal components and systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
– Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products using various tools and equipment.
– Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
– Measure, cut, shape, and bend sheet metal using hand tools or machines.
– Install HVAC ductwork, vents, and other sheet metal components.
– Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with safety regulations.
– Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role.
– Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
– Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment.
– Familiarity with carpentry, welding, plumbing, flooring installation, construction painting, caulking, tile laying, and other related skills.
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
